“So much more than a tea shop!” This is what customers often exclaim as they walk through the doors of T’s Once Upon A Tea Leaf in Maple Ridge. And so, Cindy-Lea Stephenson, owner of the tea and gift store, has adopted this as the store’s new tagline. When entering the store on 224th Street, your senses will kick into high gear: the smell of the impressive collection of teas will entice you, while your eyes will delight at the selection of tea party ware: hats and fascinators, teapots and teacups as well as a plethora of “girlfriend gifts.”
T’s Once Upon A Tea Leaf was originally a tea store inside the local mall in Maple Ridge, but relocating in 2012 allowed Cindy-Lea to offer a wider variety of merchandise. As customers were coming in to buy tea, they were also looking for all the paraphernalia that go with tea parties, which have become all the rage, Cindy-Lea explains, especially for bridal showers.
