I eat breakfast here every Saturday. Its my favorite place to eat on the lower mainland. Big servings for a good price and the staff and cooks are very friendly.
I recently worked for at Fresgo Inn and i made the discover of cockroaches. A cockroach jumped off of the menu board into my hair!! it was the grossest thing that ever happened to me, and the bug attacks didn't end there, i talked to other employees and they complained about going home and finding bite marks on them. When i comforted Walter the owner of this place about this problem over two months ago, he brushed it off and did nothing about it, which made the problem even worse and lend to me
Large portion sizes, good tasting food, unassuming atmosphere. A good place to go, have a coffee and a cheesecake in the evening.
wide variety but all meals are very very bland. been there many times and tried just about everything...kinda forced to go there on a regular basis due to group meetings held there often. i have never ate a delicious meal there ever and infact i have yet to eat a meal i even enjoyed. all my friends i have taken there never wanna go back saying the food is terrible, so i know it's not just me. portions use to be huge but not anymore and there recent price increases and reduced quantities and now even more reduced quality make it very hard to dine there. atmosphere is pooly dated from the 70's or 80's and now very obviously worn out r-ough looking and hardly spi-c and sp-an, going into washrooms will turn you off eating. order takers vary from no personality to no knowledge as there mostly young and non dedicated here today gone tomorrow types. cooks are a mixed bag with a hit and miss for too over cooked or dried out. i have read many complaints about bad food and it's true if it tastes odd do not eat it, ask for a different item all together as alot of the food is made in large batches and sits.
Their prices are very reasonable and their portions huge.Very polite,friendly service,well attended clean dining room. My fries were generous in size,hot and fresh, they needed a little more time in the fryer to crisp up though, My piece of fish was huge but unfortunately it was so overcooked that the fish meat inside was tough and flat tasting. The batter was so hard, it was near impossible to eat.,The ingredients seemed to have great potential if prepared correctly...COULD BE REALLY TASTY ! Happy Noshin' Brianm.
