Sit down for a meal at Café Kathmandu on Commercial Drive and you might imagine you’ve been swept away to a mountain town in Nepal. The restaurant’s walls are adorned with stunning, blown-up images of Mount Everest’s rugged snow-capped terrain and brightly coloured wall murals.
With Nepalese music playing in the background, it’s enough to give any Vancouverite itchy feet. “Many people come here to try the food and ask for recommendations before travelling to Nepal,” says Pradeep Sharma, the restaurant’s manager.
