St Lawrence Valley Animal Hospital

Thought this was one of the better vet offices but I have been corrected. We were long time clients of this office, brought several animals, and money, to them over the span of 10 years. When I wanted to bring my current 3 pets in, they lied to me and said it had been more than 5 years since a last visit and so my file is closed. That pet isnt even 5 yet so they lied to my face to cover their asses. Very unprofessional to say the least.

This is a business, they are in it for the money only in my opinion. They charged me for services that my pet did not need and made him suffer more for no reason. (And this without prescribing pain medicine afterwards. They did not care.)

Took my dogs bliidy stool sample in for a simple analysis. I understand due to Covid they are not allowing people inside, so they asked me right at the door if I could phone in for an appointment. That was odd. Im standing right at the door. I asked if I could bring it in that day. They said no. I asked if they could refrigerate it until they werent busy. Again...No. They told me to go to my car and phone in an appointment. Been there before. Wayyyyy overpriced. They lost a customer in me.

Do not recommend: Only regular clients get to wait less than ten days for a dog with blood in its stool to be seen. No longer an Animal Hospital.

One of my dogs was in Canada for training in the summer when he got sick. I am a veterinarian myself, but live elsewhere, so the trainer needed to take him to a local veterinarian. These guys did an excellent job: all the correct tests and treatment, so my dog made a great recovery. I would not hesitate to recommend them. The costs were appropriate for what was done.

I have always had excellent service from this Veterinary Clinic. I have been a client for 25 years. The office staff are very helpful and the Veterinarians and Veterinary Technicians are exceptional. I have had pets treated with everything from annual inoculations to cancer surgery. The staff always take the time to explain treatment thoroughly. All staff are very kind and caring including special attention when the worst case situations occur. Fantastic Animal Hospital.

This vet refused ...

This vet refused to come take a look at my dog who hasn't eaten, walked on her own, or drank on her own in several days. When we received a call back from a male he rudely told us he hasn't ever done house calls and that he wasn't about to start now then said goodbye and hung up the phone. I'd give these guys zero stars if I could.

The prices of ser...

The prices of services and vaccines are expensive, and the vet I went was not professional at all. She didn't do the proper procedures of physical annual examination on my dog, and she did the procedures only if I asked her to do so. Plus, they seems rude at the front service desk, and the main job of the vet seem like trying to sell many products as they could.
