Global Cheese

This is the best and most reasonable cheese shop outside of Toronto where the other ranch of the Global Cheese in Kensington is just as good. It is a wonderful experience and if you can not get to France this is a great substitute. Those in charge are always charming and generous with their samples!! Just do not go with a full stomach!!

A great place to shop for a variety of amazing cheeses at excellent prices! First time there and I was happy that I stopped by. The lady there was very informative and helpful. My husband is a happy camper too because he is lactose intolerant and she fixed us up with some really delicious lactose free cheeses. It is so nice to see him eat cheese again! Now we can have a cheese and wine night once a week like we used to! I recommend this great shop for anyone who loves cheese. I will be there at least once a week for my fix of dairy goodness! Global Cheese has always provided me with the best variety and customer service. Their cheeses have never disappointed at any occasion or event that I have brought them to! I too am lactose intolerant - and have sought out information for an appropriate cheese to indulge in - the lady who is always there served me and was very pleasant and knew exactly what cheese to recommend for my situation. Sometimes mistakes happen, we are all human. I would recommend GC to anyone & everyone! 10 out of 10!

If it weren't for...

If it weren't for the selection and prices of the cheeses, I would not shop at this place. The lady who is always there is quite rude and abrupt. She has also misinformed us about the products - said one was lactose free and we quickly found out that it wasn't. I am considering finding another place.

Staff, or I suspe...

Staff, or I suspect the owner (middle aged stocky woman) is miserable and argumentative and over charged me $4. I know this was on purpose because she said she'd meet me at cash so I didn't see her cut my requested piece. I bought several items so I didn't notice until after. No wonder there is never anyone in the store. Go south two blocks to store beside Meat butcher. Much better prices for cheese and other items and a far more happy place.

Brand new location..... Love this place!! Its like cheese heaven... Went in to purchase some cheese for my annual christmas party, I was greeted by a lovely lady who was extremely knowledgeable and very generous with the samples>>YUMMY!!! Spent $150 and got two big baGS OF CHEESE....couldn't believe it!!!! The prices are extremely reasonable and the service was suberb!!!! LOVE LOVE their spicy garlic stuffed green olives and smoked salmon cream cheese............i'll definately go back...highly recommend this place!!
