“I love my clients,” Bobbi Jo Turner beams. As a registered massage therapist, Bobbi Jo has clients who evidently love her back because some travel to see her from as far away as Burlington, Oakville, Mississauga, Georgetown and Milton.
Bobbi Jo operates her own studio in the west end of Hamilton in Westdale village on an idyllic and inviting tree-lined street. Prepare to be relaxed even before you step foot inside the studio, which just happens to be the back part of her home.
In 2008, Bobbi Jo saw an opportunity to return to school and pursue a lifelong dream. She took it and ran with it. She graduated as a registered massage therapist in 2010 and got to work immediately. “I was one of the lucky ones out of my class because I started right away,” she says. “Everything aligned for me nicely when I decided I was going to go ahead and do this career. Right out of school, I got my registration on June 30th and started work July 5th.”
She says it’s the perfect field for her. “I always wanted to be in health care,” she says. “Circumstances didn’t allow me to do it when I was younger. But I had the opportunity to go back to school as a mature student later on in life.”
