The idea to create MyOlive stemmed from a vacation to Prince Edward Island when Robert Pineau and Sandy Pretty stumbled into a store called Liquid Gold. Enamoured by the quality, taste and freshness of the oils, the husband-and-wife duo decided to look into the possibility of opening their own store. “We fell in love with the product,” says Sandy. “It’s fresh and tastes amazing so we started looking into it and learning more about the product to see if we had what it took to set up a store.”
With the extra-virgin olive oils and balsamic vinegars supplied by Veronica Foods, MyOlive Premium Olive Oil & Balsamic Tasting Bar continues to draw in new customers with its fresh supply of oils and vinegars. “There are many affiliate stores in Canada with the same concept,” explains Sandy. “But we’re the only MyOlive in Mississauga.”
