We have been bringing our Labs there for over 20 years… excellent service, great staff. Never any issues. We leave our loved ones there without any worries…
I have been bringing my pup for the past 6months for daycare and boarding and my dog loves it! My daughter also has been hired for the summer and she cannot stop talking about how happy the pups are when playing out in the yard! We love the staff!!
I worked at Eastway for a few months but I had to leave due to their lack of training and lack of care for the animals. What many people don't realize is that their dog spends a large amount of time in their kennels and only goes out for about an hour and a half a day, not to mention that some dogs are way to big for the kennels they have, I've seen dogs barely able to stand in their cage. When they get too full they stack cages on top of each other and caused the dogs at the bottom to get 1
Eastway is a great facility. Owners and staff are professional, friendly, and really care about the pets they care for. I use them for both boarding and daycare and have never been disappointed. I have recommended them to numerous friends and everyone has come away with the same experience. Would readily recommend their services.
This is by far the best facility in Ottawa! My dog Stella literally jumps out of our car when we arrive and runs in to greet all of her friends. The place is meticulously clean and the owner takes time to address each and every client every time I am there. Wow my puppy comes hope happy and literally exhausted from all of her playtime. I cannot say enough about this incredible place!

Clean facility, nice staff. My little guys were well taken care of. Of course my younger cats were a little shell-shocked at being left in the care of strangers but were in fine form after a few days at home. My oldest cat was unfased as he has been cared for in a hospital setting a few times lately. They all smelled like a vanilla candle for a few days which was funny (prob. air freshener)
I have used Eastway Kennels for the past 2 years and could not be happier. We tried several kennels in the Ottawa area and each time we picked up Java from these facilities her behaviour had changed. We then started asking around and everyone had said to try Eastway. We went to visit and was greeted in such a warm fashion..The staff are hard working and have a true passion for what they do as Java pulls us into the kennel and can't wait to play with all her friends!

Thank you for these kind words it is greatly appreciated. We always love seeing dogs coming in with their tails wagging and Java is certainly a happy dog when she is here :)
Someone actually gave Eastway a 1-star rating?! Eastway is the best kennel in the city. The dogs basically have their own little "apartment" sized kennels with plenty of room for them to do everything. The staff are amazing and play with your dogs and walk if you pay the $2 for that service. Our dogs have very specific needs and are also not to be socialized and we've never had any issues. There's some bad kennels in this city that we have been to and Eastway is by far the BEST in the city.
As a 1st time patron I was not impressed in how they greet pets and owners to the kennel. Prior to the reservation I spoke with a very nice person whom ensured me that all my special needs for my pet's surgery recovery would be well taken care i.e no play, no running, no unleashed walks, no play with toys or other dogs. As I walked in a person quickly approached me and whisked my pet away from me. I was very shocked by that and stressed as I tried to then focus on the list of instructions I had wrote to review with the person behind the counter. I felt like I was talking and there was no acknowledgment or a clue of "yes I understand - don't worry" but nothing, I then asked if I could say goodbye to my pet and the person who whisked my pet away from me faster then lightning said he is outside...I went outside to their very large fenced in play yard and there he was...off leash, un attended and confused as to where he is. I told the person he is not to be off and alone like this due to his surgery, she looked at me and said We wont let him off his leash....what??? I also tried calling back 3 times that night to see how he was adjusting...nobody knew anything except just a cold response; yah is doing good. Like that is exactly what I need to hear on my way to the airport and being away from home for the next 4 days. Pickup was much of the same, Very poor in customer facing. No greeting, no update as to how his stay was or anything just pay this and here he is, Bing-Bang-Boom... Try a little harder to care about each scared, confused pet that comes in and give some attention to the owner that is not comfortable leaving their family member behind not because they want but under most circumstances we have to. The only few good things were: -very clean kennel -my pet survived (wish he could talk though)
