Alberta is home to some of the best farm-raised beef and chickens, so it’s no surprise this is where you’ll find some pretty wicked wings. These wings are so good, they’ll be flyin’ off your plate. Pass the wet naps, please.
This is a simple local hangout with live entertainment and karaoke. It’s the perfect ambiance for wings. There are no fancy flavours here, folks, but the wings are plump, plentiful and finger lickin’ good.
This pub cooks up some Limerick wings worth knowing. We like the Guinness BBQ wings, but the apple BBQ wings are also pretty awesome. But, if you prefer a dry rub on your wings, may we suggest chipotle mango or lemon pepper?
Giant and succulent, these wings will leave you wanting more. Flavours include Greek, salt and vinegar, salt and pepper, dill pickle, Cajun, Caribbean jerk, BBQ, honey garlic, hot and “industrial strength,” if you dare. (Bring your own fire hose.)
They offer one pound of wings with your choice of interesting sauces. Choices include smoked mustard curry, lemon pepper, salt and pepper (simple but great!) and sweet chili. They also have the old favourites, such as hot, BBQ (regular or whiskey jack BBQ), teriyaki and honey garlic. Regardless of your preference, these are fab.
Not a fancy joint by any stretch, but the ambiance (and the food) is exactly what you’re looking for when you’re in the mood for good wings and beer. The wings are big and juicy and they drench them in sauce, so you’ll be licking it off your fingers until next week. They come with ranch dressing on the side for dipping and carrots for that extra little crunch.
A good ol’ favourite for pub fare. Though the flavours are traditional, the taste is anything but. Dry Cajun or maple BBQ get our vote, and the Hammerhead beer mustard for dipping is a perfect addition.
“Damn good wings” – yes, please. We like to keep them traditional with bone-in, though they do offer up a boneless version, as well. Here, the spicy sesame and sticky peanut varieties are darn good, but if you like to have your eyes roll to the back of your head, try the really, really, really hot.
