I’ve been a tea drinker all my life & have switched to loose leaf tea the last few years. I used to go to David’s Tea but it just wasn’t working for me. I found Brew Coffee & Tea Co. yesterday & I must say I am very impressed with the quality of their tea....absolutely delicious, best tea I’ve ever had. Wonderful experience. Atmosphere is beautiful, good food, staff is always so friendly. Good deal when they have the early bird special. Went in October. The man that served my family had a darker complexion, very friendly and charismatic! Had a unique name that I wish I could remember. What a treat we had in Port Perry after a couple of hours out on the water. The main dining room was full so we were shown a table in a private room which we had all to ourselves. Both the service and the food was excellent. The owner, Christie, was friendly and down to earth making us feel very welcome. A couple of us had food restrictions which were easily accommodated. The homemade ice cream was a exceptional way to end a delicious lunch. I’ll definitely go back! Lire plus

Yesterday, four of my friends and I celebrated my birthday at lunch time. All 5 of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals plus our waitress, who gave us excellent service, added to our enjoyment. The innkeeper where I was staying recommended the Buttermilk Cafe for lunch, and it was exactly what I was looking for - casual dining with good food and service. It was obviously a popular place - it was almost full when I arrived, and I took that as a good sign but wondered whether the service would be slow. I was pleasantly surprised - I didn't have to wait long, and my server was friendly and efficient. I had the California chicken wrap, which was tasty and moist without being soggy. BUT they no longer have a lunch menu- which means having lunch here is now much more expensive than it used to be (ie. the stew used to be $11 for lunch, now its $18 off the generic menu). because of this- I likely will only come here for dinner now as Peterborough has lots of other reasonably priced lunch options. We were heading to Lindsay last night for the Haunted House and wanted to go out for dinner first. Looked online and found the Olympia. Decided to give it a try. We were very impressed! The food was excellent, portion sizing perfect and the service was great! We would definitely go back there if in the area again. Only drawback was we were seated by the front door and it was chilly whenever the door opened and closed. So it would have been nicer to seat in a booth but the place was very busy when we arrived. Pretty good!Frequent visitors. My fav is the cucumber cream cheese sandwiches, and the chicken breast. Not much a fan of their coffee, tea is great. Very very child friendly and accomodating. When we have guests we always go there for lunch as there is something platable for everyone and sweet desserts. Wonderful small business. The staff is sweet as their pies. I stopped at the bakery looking for bread before Thanksgiving. What I bought was a delicious apple strudel. It was too big for company so we had a couple of slices..... delicious.
