My husband and I are foodies and we love it here!!! We have been maybe a half dozen times and we have to drive a little ways to get here but we are never disappointed. The service as I have been told before through word of mouth, can always use a bit of tweaking but we keep coming back here so it cannot be that bad. We arrived and normally there is no one waiting at the hostess stand. Be prepared to wait a moment or 2. We were greeted promptly tonight however, and got a nice roomy table close to the window. There was a large party going on this evening so the staff were kept hopping. We ordered drinks and the soup of the day - we enjoyed every last bite (potato/bacon). My husband loved his German draught beer and I adored a new wine for me, a Hob Nob. I highly recommend this. The server as mentioned was busy and did her best to cater to us and everyone else in the place. We did have to ask for bread though which came later, much later as well as a steak knife and pepper had to be requested. As for meals, I was craving the Chicken Alfredo and I was so satisfied! I had half to take home with me too! The chicken was so tender, it was fall apart tender. The sauce was well prepared, nicely seasoned, the pasta well cooked and the mushrooms to die for. The brocolli was yummy too. My husband treated himself and got the ribeye steak - he gave it a 10. Deelish. The meat was melt in your mouth and the potatoes! MMM... The sauce was the best thing of all though, the jus. Homemade. the only thing is that it would have been nice to have some green on the plate, some type of veg. We could not order dessert, we were so full. Bonus - we got to meet the head chef/owner and he could not have been nicer. We left happy and with cash still in our pockets, the place is reasonable and not a money grabber. We will be back. Typically we would not call fine dining sitting at a truck stop/hotel but once inside you would never know it! A must try! Lire plus

My first visit was pleasant enough. We were greeted right away and accomodated for our party of 5. At first I was not really impressed with only the 'make your own stirfry' option for dinner but was told it was excellent. Tons of selection of meats, veggies and sauces...wasn't sure where to start! Guys at the fryer seemed to really enjoy their jobs, it was very entertaining to watch. Food was really yummy. Atmosphere was alright, didn't really notice any defectives like others are posting. Waitress was somewhat reliable in refilling our drinks. When it comes to tipping, the guys at the fryer really earn theirs however not sure about the waitresses as all they did was bring us water....nothing from the menu was ordered. The only downside to this place is the price (15.99 per person Mon-Thurs is the deal we did) but I guess for others it's an awesome price for the food. Lire plus

I got the grilled veggetable burger and it was good but I would get the veggie burger next time. My bf got it and I had a bite and it was super yummy! My husband and I dined at La Casa on Saturday night. We started with Mussels for appetizer - delicious...I wanted to drink the sauce it was so good. We also shared a Ceasar Salad. The dressing was very nice, perhaps a bit too much garlic (a little too overwhelming). Still tasty though. I ordered lobster pasta, all I can say is DELICIOUS! So tasty. I brought some home and was looking forward to eating it again the next day for lunch. My husband ordered beef tenderloin. Again, delicious! Tender, perfectly cooked and tasty. The waiter was very professional and friendly. We had a great time and a fantastic meal. No wonder La Casa is still one of the best restaurant's in London. It's so nice to go out for dinner and receive a great meal. The meals are not pretentious or overpriced (unlike other London restaurants in the downtown area). The food is simply delicious. We went here for 2 for 1 wings. Ordered all the different flavours they had, and they were ALL very good. It was busy and loud, servers were awesome and wait time wasn't too bad. We'll be going back to try some other items on the menu for sure. On a side note, while we were waiting outside a car came by and threw a couple of eggs at us. I brought my 81 year old Uncle and my younger beautiful Aunt to this Swiss Chalet for lunch. The server was very bright, cheerful and friendly. The meal was served within minutes and she got everything right. I happened to mention that we were going to use the coupon(s) that my Aunt had received in the mail, but we couldn't find that day.
