Precious Steps Academy provides a place for children from 3 to 36 months to grow and flourish intellectually, artistically, physically, socially and emotionally using a play-based emergent curriculum.
“We offer a bilingual program in the morning and afternoon (English and Mandarin), arts and crafts, music and movements, yoga, circle time, indoor and outdoor play,” says Lisa Wong, one of the three co-owners of Precious Steps Academy, a newly renovated 1,500-square-foot licensed infant and toddler daycare centre in Richmond.
Boasting a higher than average staff-to-children ratio (one to three), Precious Steps Academy owners Lisa Wong, Yvonne Lam and Emili Chou are like second moms for the academy’s children. “We are able to provide more one-on-one time with the children and we are all very nurturing and caring, so we seem to go above and beyond what the parents are expecting of us.”
