I came here to pickup a falafel for lunch for myself and a friend. I had to wait as they only had enough ready to make one,. The place had more people in it than I expected. Not the greatest location, but the food was good, filling, and the food was fresh. Not a very fancy display, but I fed two people for $6 and change. I woud come back again, but I am on the hunt for an amazing falafel place. This place was good.
Being a pure vegetarian, I always have a liking towards Middle eastern restaurant. I know I would get vegetarian choices any day. This place we went today for my wedding anniversary was just awesome. We went for dinner buffet. Best part I liked was the Buffet was out and out 100% vegetarian. For meat eaters, they had to pick the vegetarian as the base and then order meat on top of it. This way, I had a very good feel of what I ate. The taste of the salad and vegetales were just awesome. For my birthday, I am planning to go again next week.
I just wished they had a website for ordering online so that I can pick up!
Tarboosh a Gem in the Raw
This neighborhood family style restaurant serves up tasty Middle Eastern cuisine. The lunch (vegetarian) buffet is a quick and tasty mid-week treat.
Restaurant: The location is not ideal and confusing to access. If you are not aware of it’s' existence, you need to "hunt" a bit to find, park and get in the door; persevere however, it is worth the effort. The decor will not win any design awards (very basic - low key - mom/pop style); some exquisite wood work is being installed (slowly). The good news is that the restaurant is clean, including the restrooms.
Food: The menu is very much focused on regional Middle Eastern cuisine. Most of which seems home-style prepared (no fancy presentation) however dishes are very tasty. The lunch vegetarian buffet is limited, however offers a variety of vegetable and grain-based choices, all well seasoned and very fresh. The fried pita strips and Humus are a decadent treat.
Service: The staff here is very genuine and friendly. "Please", "Thank-You", "Your Welcome" and Smiles abound (very rare these days). Service is quick and efficient.
Overall - perhaps the place could do with a spot on the "restaurant makeover" show, however if you are looking for an excellent meal with friendly service and a clean restaurant - you should definitely search out Tarboosh Restaurant

This place i've been going to for years. I love it soooo much i almost don't want to let people know about it. Keep it my little secret. i guess i can't, it's wayyy to good. I would eat there every night if i could.
I have been coming here for years and have never been disappointed. The food is excellent, authentic and fresh. Service is fast and take out option is great. Probably the best middle eastern food in the city.

Food at Tarboosh is AMAZING! Authentic Lebanese dishes, Tarboosh dish is out of this world, a must try. Service was awesome, quick and friendly staff. Atmosphere is nice, nothing fancy, but the food Tarboosh serves is what really matters, you will not be disappointed!
Take it from me, a Lebanese, Tarboosh is in the top 10 Middle Eastern restaurants in the GTA.
Would have reviewed with 10's, but now we have tried the Burlington Restaurant. Run by a family member, but he has expanded the buffet menu, from Mississaga. I would not hestiate to recommend the Mississauga Restaurant,but just advise you to steer clear of the Hamilton restaurants, they are very poor quality, and to be honest I threw the food away I had bought there as it was unpalletable.

One of the best Middle Eastern food restaurant in Canada. Nice atmosphere. I would give environment 7 out of 10. Food and service will definitely get 9 out of 10. It was a great experience food was delicious. Some of the Items we ordered are usually also available with minor differences at Afghan, Persian and Pakistani restaurants, but Tarboosh has a very unique test of their own and that's what we loved the most. A definite place to visit again. Service was very courteous and excellent.

As I said...food was simply amazing. This is one restaurant that i will definitely be returning to. The service of the staff is great. Very friendly waiters and waitresses, and the cooking staff are quite the entertainers as well. This is one restaurant you won't regret leaving a tip at! The atmosphere is middle-eastern, by having a mural of the desert, and having traditional Lebanese outfits hanging against the wall as well. The background music is arabic as well...not too loud and not too quite. It is enough to add life to a quite conversation, or if one is dining alone. It is a dining experience everyone will enjoy. I know I did!
