service was so bad nobody serve us in our table no water and nobody come to take our order!
I never expect I can find a place where you can have a good food and service. First time when I went in Lotus Garden for lunch, I was little worry about place because outside sings were looked old. But i was surprised the food and service were excellent. Especially the Slat and pepper Chicken wing and Crispy Squid, on My gosh, they are amazing . At the same time, their service were friendly and they can play jokes with you. just like you are their friend. their atmosphere is very suitable for eating and you can relax. especially the classic Chinese music, really interesting and enjoyable. I strongly recommend this restaurant for your friends and family.
After raving to my friends from out of the area how good the Chinese Cuisine was in Niagara Falls, ON and, our first choice, Jade garden being empty at 7PM on a Saturday night, we opted to try this place. Well, here's the deal....we all got our cup of soups at different times, we had to pay $1.59 for rice to come with the meal, I ordered Mushroom Egg Drop Soup....there were no mushrooms in it and about 8 peas, our entrees were served at different times and really were not what we were looking for. The Lobster Sauce (usually a white, creamy sauce) was a brown sauce with little to no taste. Other dishes needed some help to be good (had to ask for soy sauce and hot sauce). While my friends were not impressed, I was embarrassed by this place. I will not come back here unless there is a drastic change in their foods.
We live in Port Colborne so we go to the falls quite often but we had never gone down to the main touristic area because everything down there is just too commercial and ridiculously overpriced. Anyway, we decided to have a little "tourist day" of our own this time so we're walking up and down clifton hill area and found this Chinese restaurant and decided to try it but it turns out to be a bad decision. We ordered mixed seafood and shrimp fried rice. Mixed seafood has a fairly small portion for $15.99 and was tasteless. What's worst was fried rice. I really wanted to ask how they could possibly make fried rice taste so bad. I'm not Asian but even I can make better fried rice. lol
After several days in Canada, we decided to get some Chinese food. We got in by viewing the promo advertised on the windows, but the price on the menu doesn't reflect the promotion. Initially, we were thinking about the combo meal, the waiter convinced us to go with individual dishes because it is more authentic. We fell into his suggestions, and regret for the rest of the night. The food was horrible - even for Americans. A lot of people come in with tour guide only to order fried rice and soup. If you are American/Canadian and looking for Asian food, find somewhere else. If you are Chinese/Asian, do yourself a favor - don't go there. They need a better chef whom knows how to cook Chinese. Oh by the way, rice costs $4 (canadian) for a family size.
