LOUIE,S is WORTH the DRIVE!

This is my 3rd visit to Louies while visiting family in Ingersoll over the last year. EA time has been rewarding.

Service is sliding........

Moved to the area in 2006. Went for breakfast the morning after moving in and have been a regular ever since. Great food and value....but...the service lately is slow and I think this is a result of 1 or 2 people. My past 2 visits my food has been cold. I think the staff need to be reminded why this place has become a local favorite before people stop coming.

First of all, Louie's is a lovely happy place we...

First of all, Louie's is a lovely happy place we found through Restaurantica--we were to be on the road and wanted a place with good food to stop for breakfast in a city (Ingersoll) we'd never been to before. I've found this Restaurantica site a great resource to find places to eat in towns and cities we've never been to before. Louie's is casual and full of interesting and cool decor. There wasn't a line up when we got there for breakfast Saturday morning just before 10 a.m., but it was close to full. Our server was good, she smiled, chatted, looked us in the eye and was eager to make us happy. My partner asked to have her eggs benedict served separate from the 'under biscuit' but for some reason the kitchen was not able to do it, even after our server went back and forth to them twice (something about the sauce and the melted cheese). Our server's compromise was to watch for my partner's plate and as soon as it was ready she whipped it out to us so the biscuit could be removed forthwith. This was just a minor bump in the meal because truly, it was fantastic. The eggs were poached hard like we like asked. The home fries (although deep fried and not boiled and sauteed as I adore them) were well browned and delicious. The combination of egg, hollandaise, bacon, spinach, tomato and homemade biscuit was 'out of this world' good. This restaurant is about an hour's drive from our place and we will make sure we fit in a visit whenever we go to or pass by Ingersoll. We stopped by on our way home Sunday night about 6:30 but it was far too packed to wait considering we were on our way home from a long trip. We will definitely go to Louie's again to try the panzarotti that everyone raves about. Our coffee was refilled regularly. If you like happy casual places with good food you don't want to miss this one.

Food is always great and it is an all around...

Food is always great and it is an all around relaxing atmosphere. Service is always great, even when they are packed they are still on top of everything and do a great job. Definitely the best place in town and I will definitely be back!

I'm a regualr at Louie's because it never lets me down! The portions are HUGE and the price is right! All the servers are super friendly as well :)
